About The Practice

One of Chicago’s top podiatrists, Stavros Alexopoulos, DPM, treats routine to complex foot and ankle issues. Dr. Alexopoulos is currently accepting new patients at My Chicago Foot Expert located near Ravenswood, North Park, and Jefferson Park.

After completing his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Dr. Alexopoulos completed his required hands-on patient training. He finished his podiatry residency at Chicago’s Lakeside Community Hospital.

To ensure he continues offering the most advanced and minimally invasive treatments, Dr. Alexopoulos regularly participates in continuing education training. He’s currently board-certified through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine in both orthopedics and primary podiatric medicine. Dr. Alexopoulos maintains professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, among others.

As a leader in comprehensive podiatry care, Dr. Alexopoulos regularly treats common ailments such as plantar fasciitis, bone spurs, and bunions, but he also helps patients who have complex foot and ankle issues. Dr. Alexopoulos has specialized training in sports medicine and multiple types of skin cancers that develop in the feet and lower legs.

Dr. Alexopoulos is able to communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds since he is fluent in English, Spanish, Greek, and German. Dr. Alexopoulos was the only podiatrist from Chicago that treated athletes from around the world at the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics.  

Patients of Dr. Alexopoulos commend his compassionate bedside manner and patient-centric practice. Not only does he offer same-day appointments, he even returns patients’ phone calls himself. Dr. Alexopoulos strives to provide a caring environment where he can develop lifelong relationships with patients of all ages.
